The correct age to teach for babies is as young as 6 months, because at the early stage the brain level of the babies is much faster then becoming old . so you can teach as early as possible.but in some cases like your babies are not have the hand control then the correct time 8 or 9 months old.
THE METHODS OF TEACHING TO BABIES:
1. The first and best method is sign language .babies can usually learn to sign before they learn to talk, so getting started early on is a good idea. some babies can learn as young as 6 months so its based on the babies . so don't make rush to your baby.
2. Keep talking to your babies and make more interaction to your little one then your little bundle of joy can learn and speak as early as possible.
3.Hearing music is the best method ,in the early stages the babies have good listening skill and memory
so make it use to improve your babies learning skill. play in a audio format to your little one what u want to teach.
4.Using flash cards with color sketch is a great method to teach your babies .this method of teaching is in a written format so the babies can learn the color name as well the letter of alphabets .it is more playful method to teach your babies.
5.A fun activity is the one of the method to teach your babies for quick learning. make your babies active with fun mode the brain is more active so the listening and brain power will increase.
